Almost immediately out of High School I went to work with my brother in his ornamental ironwork business as a welder. This was very educational. I learned to make stairs; straight and spiral, fences, and many other things with steel. When my brother left this business I took the principles of construction I learned from welding and was able to apply many of them to my carpentry career. In the process of educating myself about the best practices of the carpentry trade I have gradually felt a desire to share this knowledge with others. In time was able to teach at a local trade school and community college, for about 22 years, while running my own remodeling business.
The combination of input from working with clients in the field and input from students with questions has led me to believe there is a need for some to both have a project competed and desire to ‘get involved’ in the project. We can both complete a project for you and provide a context for you to be involved.
